The White House is facing a litany of environmental lawsuits given President Donald Trump’s efforts to “eliminate federal overreach” at the expense of the economy.
With Trump looking to undo restrictions put in place by the previous administration, such as allowing offshore drilling, environmentalists are turning to the courts.
But “there’s one environmental lawsuit against the Trump administration that liberals seem to have avoided almost entirely: the Immigration Reform Law Institute’s lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security,” The Daily Caller reported.
This comes as no surprise, given that the lawsuit filed on behalf of a number of environmentalist groups for ignoring the National Environmental Policy Act presents a possible impediment to open borders. … Read the full story by Tom Tillison.
