Illegal Aliens Get Swanky Hotels while Americans Sleep on the Streets

If you’ve walked around a major American city recently, you can’t help but notice the tragic sense of despair that surrounds it all.

From the homeless tent cities, to the prolific drug use, to the human excrement and needles that fill the streets, America’s cities are in the midst of a rapid civilizational collapse. Like almost all major problems facing our country, these issues have been made much worse due to the Biden Administration’s self-induced border crisis. The unprecedented flood of illegal aliens crossing our border has dramatically reduced access to social services for downtrodden Americans. Instead, states and cities across the country have directed scarce resources on people who should not even be in the country in the first place. New York City is ground zero for this civilizational collapse.

Under Mayor Eric Adams’ leadership, nearly 20,000 illegal aliens have arrived in the city over the past six months, 73 percent of whom are in the city’s already overcrowded homeless shelters. But, the city’s homeless shelters simply don’t have enough room for all of the illegal aliens who are coming to the city, so New York officials have decided to place many of these aliens in swanky hotels. Hundreds of newly-arrived aliens have been placed in hotels that offer free WiFi, video games, laundry service, and other privileged amenities.

This is all happening as the homeless crisis in New York and cities across the country continues to rapidly deteriorate. Nearly one in every 106 New Yorkers is homeless, including tens of thousands of women and children. But these desperate Americans are not getting put up in five-star hotels. Instead, they’re getting a cold shoulder from their country and their government, a government that is supposed to represent them, but is instead prioritizing foreign nationals who have broken our country’s laws.

Homelessness is a major problem, not just for those on the streets, but for the quality of life of all the residents in the city. Americans living in cities are often forced to walk through homeless encampments just to get to work or school. These Americans are frequently harassed by mentally ill homeless people, and are exposed to  their drugs and often their feces. The border crisis has made this problem much more salient, and provided yet another example of how mass migration and illegal immigration reduces the quality of life for all Americans.

It’s hard to describe America’s border as anything other than a sick joke at the moment. The Biden Administration has completely abandoned its constitutional responsibility to secure the border, and instead has opened the floodgates. Roughly 5.5 million illegal aliens have crossed the border since Joe Biden took office, according to an analysis from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). And, why wouldn’t they come across the border? Once here, they receive free food, free legal services, and access to luxury hotels that the vast majority of Americans can’t afford.

Why wouldn’t they come across the border? Once here, they receive free food, free legal services, and access to luxury hotels that the vast majority of Americans can’t afford.

Earlier this month, Biden gave another speech demonizing people who disagree with his policies as threats to democracy and the American way of life. Yet, no president in modern American history has ever done more to make our quality of life worse than Biden. Much of the public’s cynicism towards government today is because many policymakers have dispensed with even the pretense that they’re supposed to represent the interests of the American people first. It’s because of failed leaders like Biden and Adams, who have prioritized mass migration over pulling Americans out of poverty and despair.

There is not a better representation of why Americans have lost faith in our governing institutions than the sight of illegal aliens filling up five-star hotels, while Americans sleep on the streets. Our citizens are entitled to a government that represents them, but have been stuck with a government that prioritizes a toxic, anti-borders ideology at the expense of their well-being.
