Indianapolis Star: Gary attempts to dismiss lawsuit against its ‘welcoming city’ ordinance

The city of Gary has enlisted the help of Georgetown’s law school to help defend its “welcoming city” ordinance from a lawsuit that is part of a nationwide effort to roll back so-called sanctuary city policies.

Georgetown Law’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection and the Oakland-based Public Rights Project will represent the city and defend its ordinance.
