Well, the Ridgecrest City Council decided to oppose California’s Senate Bill 54, the Sanctuary State Law as well as Assembly Bills 450 and 103 by approving a resolution supporting the Constitution and supporting the United States’ lawsuit against the state of California and supporting an Amici Curiae brief filed by the Immigration Reform Law Institute.

I see this as a symbolic action because the laws are still on the books, but I hope this sends a message to Sacramento that while cities and counties must obey these laws, they do not like it. Read the full story in The Daily Independent.
