Activists from Gary (Indiana) are not losing the defense they make in state court of the municipal ordinance that declared that city three years ago as a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants.
As reported on Tuesday by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), in a “great victory against sanctuaries” that have emerged throughout the country, a Lake Superior (Indiana) court of first instance annulled the ordinance approved in 2017 by the Municipal Council of the city.
